CCF and Private Foundations
As part of its philanthropic services, the Connecticut Community Foundation provides its expertise in grantmaking and back office administration to private foundations. This partnership also enables private foundations to establish special initiatives in our community such as the Life Long Learning Center at UCONN Waterbury and to work with other funders to maximize charitable impact in our community.
CCF provides a variety of fee-based services for private and corporate foundations including:
- governance and grants policy review
- program and community expertise
- grants and scholarships management
- financial oversight and record keeping
- administrative support

Donor Advised Funds - a cost effective option
If you are considering reducing the time and expense of managing a private foundation, terminating your private foundation and establishing a donor advised fund at CCF is also a cost effective option.
A donor advised fund provides you with continuing grant making opportunities without the administrative and legal concerns of a private foundation.
