Region’s Largest Scholarship Provider Accepting Applications;
Deadline March 15
WATERBURY — February 11, 2010 – If you are a student from Greater Waterbury or the Litchfield Hills and plan on entering college in 2010, the Connecticut Community Foundation encourages you to apply for scholarships that are available from funds established by area donors.
The region’s largest scholarship provider, the Connecticut Community Foundation has awarded hundreds of scholarships to area students since 1989. In 2009, nearly 275 students received more than $480,000 in scholarships.
Students may download an application form. The deadline to apply is March 15.
For most of the Foundation’s scholarships, first-time applicants must be entering their first year of college in 2010 and live in Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, or Woodbury.
