Connecticut Community Foundation Awards More Than $600K in Scholarships
WATERBURY – August 04, 2010 – The Connecticut Community Foundation (CCF) recently awarded more than $600K in scholarships to students from 21 towns in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills for the 2010-2011 school year. The Foundation presented more than 300 awards from scholarship funds established by area donors.
The region’s largest scholarship provider, CCF has awarded hundreds of scholarships to area students since 1989. First-time applicants must be entering their first year of college and live in Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, or Woodbury.
Scholarship applications for the 2011 school year will be available from CCF beginning in January. Students can obtain applications from their high school guidance departments or online at www.conncf.org/guidelines-applications. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2011.
