Learn Fundraising Through Grants at
Grant Writing Certificate Program March 11 & 18

 

WATERBURY, CT – February 12, 2010 – The Nonprofit Assistance Initiative (NAI), a joint program of the Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Waterbury, teams up with the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits to offer a two-day workshop and grantwriting certificate program on March 11 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Workshops will be conducted at the University of Bridgeport’s Waterbury Campus, 84 Progress Lane, Waterbury, CT. Lunch is included both days.

“Grant writing is a skill that can make a real difference for nonprofits during these tough economic times,” said John Long, NAI program officer.

Trainer Diane Gedeon-Martin will present “Finding Funders and How Funders Think” on March 11, and “Grant Proposal Structure and Review of Your Draft Proposal” on March 18. Gedeon-Martin is principal of The Write Source, LLC, and a nationally-recognized grant writer and teacher.

Cost of the program is $250 for Connecticut Association for Nonprofits members and for people who work or live in Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott or Woodbury.

Fee for nonmembers or for those who do not live or work in these towns is $325.
