$65K in Advised and Endowment Fund Gifts to CCF Help Nonprofits Realize Their Missions
WATERBURY, CT—November 9, 2011—Connecticut Community Foundation (CCF) recently received gifts and pledges totaling $65,000 from Southbury Public Library and Friends of the Beacon Falls Public Library to establish advised funds and the Pomperaug River Watershed Commission to establish an endowment fund for their organizations.
“Endowment and agency advised funds at CCF allow donors peace of mind,” said Ingrid Manning, CEO of Connecticut Community Foundation. “Donors to nonprofits with endowment funds at CCF are assured that their gifts will remain as part of a permanent endowment for the organization, and with advised funds, donors’ gifts will be used for specific projects. The assets in both types of funds are invested in CCF’s a well-diversified endowment pool.”
Many nonprofits do not have the time or resources to manage their own funds. Agency endowment funds and agency advised funds make it possible for the nonprofits to focus volunteer and staff time on their mission. CCF ensures that funds are distributed according to the wishes of the donor.
