More Giving Power

The Connecticut Community Foundation encourages partnerships with individual and corporate donors, private foundations and other local funders to share expertise and leverage funding for important needs in our communities.

CCF provides grant making services, program expertise and administrative support to the following partner funders who awarded close to $819,000 in grants in 2009:


Thanks to these partnerships, CCF can offer joint funding for larger grants to support projects that would be beyond the resources of a single funder. 

Reach multiple funders with one request

The Connecticut Community Foundation hosts a Coordinating Committee that includes representatives from our partner funders who meet to review letters of inquiry.

This provides nonprofits with a “one stop” opportunity to submit a request to multiple funders. While this process allows for coordinated funding, the ability of any nonprofit to apply directly to one of our partner funders remains.

Many of our partner funders share our basic eligibility criteria; however, there are unique differences in funding priorities and geographic reach that expand our ability to assist nonprofits.
