Improving Preschool Quality; Supporting Schools Seeking NAEYC Accreditation
Accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is considered a key standard of quality.
The standards cover a broad range of a preschool’s operations including teacher experience, curriculum, communication and organizational management among others.
The Connecticut Community Foundation partners with the Accreditation Facilitation Project of CT Charts-A-Course to provide consultative services to sites interested in accreditation or seeking re-accreditation.
Outreach sessions in Naugatuck, New Milford and Watertown included more than 85 teachers last year. Additional grant support in improving your preschool’s curriculum to meet NAEYC accreditation or undertake other quality improvements is also available.
