Improving Preschool Quality; Supporting Schools Seeking NAEYC Accreditation or implementing recommendations of formal assessments

Accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is considered a key standard of quality.

The standards cover a broad range of a preschool’s operations including teacher experience, curriculum, communication and organizational management among others.

The Connecticut Community Foundation partners with the Accreditation Facilitation Project of CT Charts-A-Course to provide consultative services to sites interested in accreditation or seeking re-accreditation.

Additional grant support in improving your preschool’s curriculum to meet NAEYC accreditation or implement recommendations based on a formal assessment of your preschool is also available. Priority is given to in-class coaching or individualized consultation with additional incentive grants of up to $3,000 available for preschools completing the instructional improvement effort.
