Hosting an Event

Many trustees and friends of the Connecticut Community Foundation have personally reached out to people in the community by hosting or sponsoring events in their homes or other venues.

Special events help to spread knowledge, increase visibility and support, and recruit new volunteers for the Connecticut Community Foundation.

Special events may include:

hosted receptions in members homes for dinners, book club nights, and parties
sponsored gatherings at restaurants, galleries, and businesses
walks, hikes, and outdoor events

As a host of a special event, please know that you are not alone. Members of our Outreach and Development team will work with you to help you plan and host a successful gathering.

Saunders Fund Kick Off Party

Naugatuck residents Mark and Nikki Yanarella hosted a gathering at their home to celebrate the establishment of the Saunders Fund for the Sick and Infirm of the Borough of Naugatuck. Guests included members of the Saunders Fund Advisory Committee, Borough officials and trustees from the CT Community Foundation where the fund is managed.
