Grants - An Overview
The Connecticut Community Foundation works to connect nonprofits and students in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills to the resources that are made possible by our generous donors and partner funders.
In 2009, the Connecticut Community Foundation awarded a total of $1.9 million in grants, scholarships and special projects for a wide range of issues.
While much of this funding is awarded through donor advised and designated funds, the Connecticut Community Foundation also provides competitive grants and scholarships, services to nonprofits, and engages residents through our community leadership efforts.
The Connecticut Community Foundation offers:
- Program grants and equipment grants
- Grants & services to strengthen your nonprofit (NAI)
- Early childhood education grants (LitLinks)
- Grants for organizations that serve seniors (East Hill Woods Fund)
- Sponsorships and other special funding opportunities
- Funding for programs and services for women and their children (Women's Initiative Fund)
- Grants through our partner funders
- Scholarships
