WATERBURY, CT — May 25, 2011 — Nonprofits in the region recently received grants from CCF. Grants for new and continuing programs, as well as sponsorships for public events, totaled $315,565.

Grants from funds established by area donors supported arts, education, employment and career advancement, environment, health care, families, youth programs and technology and planning assistance for local nonprofits.

In this first round of grant making for 2011, CCF awarded more than $100K to nonprofits that help seniors in the area to remain in their homes. Grants were awarded through Pathways: Linking Seniors to Services, a new initiative made possible by the East Hill Woods Fund at CCF. This was the first time that CCF awarded grants through the Pathways program.
