Responding to an economic crisis

As a community foundation with a permanent endowment, we are among the fortunate organizations that can react quickly and nimbly during a tough economy.

After listening to the community and the agencies we serve, the CCF Board of Trustees decided on a three-pronged approach:

establish an emergency fund to address the dramatic increase in requests for assistance from area residents, many of whom have never sought assistance before

provide workshops and grants to agencies that must restructure due to reduced revenues

focus our grant making on innovative programs that address the long-term community issues exacerbated by the economic crisis
